Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
